01 / About the Awards

Setting the Standard for AI in Banking

The AIX Awards are a global, invitation-only recognition programme administered by The Asian Banker. We identify and honour financial institutions whose adoption of artificial intelligence demonstrates measurable impact, ethical rigour, and strategic vision.

Unlike open nomination processes, the AIX Awards are research-led. Our analytical team conducts independent assessments across 40+ markets, supplemented by an independent advisory council and structured peer review.

Why the AIX Awards Matter

The rapid adoption of AI across financial services demands a credible, independent mechanism to separate genuine transformation from marketing claim. The AIX Awards provide banks, regulators, and the broader industry with a trusted benchmark — one grounded in data, peer scrutiny, and decades of institutional knowledge from The Asian Banker.

Research-Led

All assessments originate from The Asian Banker's independent research programme, not self-reported submissions.

Global Scope

Coverage spans retail, commercial, and private banking institutions across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.

Independent Jury

A multi-disciplinary advisory council of technologists, regulators, and senior practitioners governs the final decisions.

Outcome-Focused

Recognition is anchored to demonstrated, measurable outcomes — not technology deployment alone.
